GCS Hawke

The rather tired paintwork was in need of re-painting, and the seats were a strange colour of reddish/orange, as was the rather over padded dashboard, the wiring as usual left a lot to be desired, and was discarded as a major restoration was about to start.  We had found some extra long screws holding the top of the headlights out by about 13mm.  On investigation it was found that these were to dip the headlights sufficiently.  We decided "surgery" was the only answer, the rims were cut off all but the very bottom and held in the correct postion by fibre glass tape and resin. The deep channels left were then filled with fibre glass bridger to the outer body profile, then finally reshaped with body filler prior to being sent for painting.

The Hawke was re-painted using etch primer and two pack paint, in metallic "Rover" British Racing Green.

The finished car including new ETB Brass rimmed, magnolia faced all electronic instruments, new interior, including tailor made carpets, and new seats
